Banjos, Strange Calls and Wait There's More!

So today I went with my daughter and picked up her new Deering Goodtime 2 Banjo.  We are going to be starting banjo lessons and are fully committed.  The banjo was incredible and sounded amazing.  My daughter's face was priceless.

Before we get to the music store my OnStar car phone rings.  I only give this number out to few people so I answered it.  Wow, I talked to a person I had pretty much figured I sucked since I didn't answer several calls.  It was nice to be honest and tell her I didn't call her because I simply couldn't handle that kind of drama sequence psychologically, and she was OK with that.

Then I decided to go to Petco and hung out there with a little girl that simply shows what kind of world we live in.  She was a special needs girl that was priceless.  She came up to me and introduced me to other random people in the store.  To her, introduction means touching the other person.  It was interesting to see people's reactions to the whole touching thing.  What was amazing to me was that even though several people obviously were uncomfortable with the whole scenario, none of them refused this precious little girl.  I ended up talking to her mom and just hanging out in Petco because this kid was just so much fun to be around.  When my daughter and I left the store, I asked her what she thought about the little girl and my daughter told me she was amazing because she made her mommy shine.  I cried.

So a friend of mine I've known for five years has been sleeping in his car for three days.  I can sleep better knowing he's going home.  I'm still kind of processing the whole incident and feeling insecure about life because he's 71.  That kind of thing should be so history.

I have to figure out what I'm going to do when I turn 40.  That will be soon.  Growing up supposedly starts around this age according to my husband.  I think he's full of crap.  How can I possibly grow up in less than a month when I bought my first rolling papers today?  I'll think of something I guess.
